Visit Robotex Cyprus 2023 to witness creative robot constructions centered around the theme “Robots for a Safer World”, thrilling robot battles, and an array of other exciting events!

The Cyprus Computer Society invites you to partake in the largest educational robotics event, Robotex Cyprus 2023 on the weekend of July 1-2, 2023 (10:00 am – 4:00 pm), at the Sports Center of the University of Cyprus.

The Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, Mr. Philippos Hatzizacharias, will officially commence the event.

In the much-anticipated 6^th Pancyprian Robotics Competition, 700 roboticists, students, and adults from across Cyprus will bring their robots to compete in 20 different robotics challenges.

During the 2-day event, primary school students will present their robotic creations at the Educational Robotics exhibition under the theme “Robots for a Safer World”. On Saturday 1/7 , the robots will navigate Line Following tracks and the FOLKRACE rally or attempt to find the exit of the maze. On Sunday 2/7, the robots will battle it out on the SUMO field, including the all-new 3 kg challenge! Other activities include a GIRLS FIRE-FIGHTING competition exclusively for girls, aiming to inspire more females into the STEAM fields.

Join us for an action-packed weekend to applaud the ambitious and hardworking young men and women taking part in the competition! Alongside, enjoy drone demonstrations from the Avgorou Technical School, interactive technology exhibitions from the Youth Makerspace Larnaca and the Neapolis University of Paphos, music and dance performances from the Music Club of the University of Cyprus and the Elena Clark School of Dance, prize draws from the Engino company, 3D printing from Robo.com.cy, sweet and delightful surprises from IET Cyprus and more exciting activities!

A few words about the event:

Robotex Cyprus 2023 is is organized by the Cyprus Computer Society with the University of Cyprus, the Youth Board, and the IET Cyprus as co-organizers. The event is under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Christodoulides, and has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, as well as ETEK (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber). The Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy supports Robotex Cyprus 2023 as the Diamond Sponsor, with the Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK) as a sponsor. Long-time partners of the CCS, XM, serve as the Technology Partner, and the Bank of Cyprus as the Youth Supporter.
